News: The Kenneths release new single ‘All Cried Out’

London punks, THE KENNETHS, launch Bill Stevenson (The Descendents/Black Flag) produced single ‘All Cried Out’ watch the video below.

Since their inception in January of 2015, London punks, The Kenneths, have clocked up 150 shows, playing with the likes of Anti-Flag, Juliette and The Licks, Less Than Jake, Jack Garratt and Lianne La Havas in the process. The band also spent the whole of last summer stateside on the Vans Warped Tour, following a personal invitation from organiser, Kevin Lyman, who said The Kenneths, are a reincarnation of what got me into punk rock in the first place, I had to book them the first time I heard them.”

It’s fair to say it’s been an eventful first eighteen months for Josh (Weller, vocals/guitar), Lewis (Maynard, bass) and Aicha (Djidjelli, drums), but it’s simply proof that their hook and harmony laden brand of punk is connecting in impressively fast fashion, even in its embryonic stages.

Following two DIY releases, the ‘K’ and ‘E’ EPs, the trio recently entered the studio with the legendary Bill Stevenson of The Descendents/Black Flag fame and the first fruits of their labour come in the form of debut single, All Cried Out.

In Weller’s own words, it’s two and half minutes of pure frustration and angst. About one of those addictive, self-destructive, emotionally devastating relationships, where you break up over and over again. By the time its finally finished, you feel numb. You’ve got nothing left to give. You’re all cried out.”
