Exclusive: MORI stream new single on Alt Dialogue

Alt Dialogue are proud to exclusively give you the first single from Mori’s new EP Better For You.

Formed in Brooklyn in the winter of 2014, four piece alternative rock band MORI is the latest and loudest iteration of lead singer & guitarist Mori Einsidler’s longstanding project.

Flanked by Jake Goldin on guitar, Adam Downer on bass and vocals, and Stephen Ranellone on drums, the band draws influence from indie rockers Tegan & Sara along with pop-punk / emo overlords Say Anything and Brand New. MORI crafts melancholy pop songs dressed up in rock and roll’s clothes.

Although the EPas a whole is co-produced, this particular track was written and produced exclusively by Mori Einsidler, it’s the kind of “scream-along-in-the-car” music fit for breakups, nostalgia, and loneliness that thrive the energy of rock

Which isn’t to say it’s all sad; the energy and hooks on the single “Do You Wanna Hurt Me” would feel right at home in a pop/alternative radio block next to Paramore and Dashboard Confessional. It’s the first single from her forthcoming EP Better For You set for release in March. Stream it below in its full glory.

The band is having a single release show at Black Bear Bar tonight in Brooklyn at 10pm.
